Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toniz Collins (born in Mexico) is the Mexican American sportscaster. She's an ESPN anchor on news, and she hosts SportsNation occasionally. She was hired by ESPN in the year of 2016. She is the daughter of the television reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta is a native speaker of two languages. Since she was nine years old, her ability to communicate in two languages allowed her to get an employment in Miami as an assistant producer for Univision. As an assistant producer she was given the chance to be a part of national show producers, such as Nuestra Belleza Latina. Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. Then it was announced that her CBS station of St. Petersburg employed her as a sport reporter. In 2009 she relocated away from Texas into Rio Grande Valley where she was a news reporter on KNVO TV 48 Univision. In 1992, the family left Mexico for the US and eventually settled in Miami. She divorced her parents soon after and, in the year 1995, she got married to an naval designer by the name of Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo died in 2006 due to kidney cancer. While on a trip with the family in Ohio, the younger Collins took a place along with her sister. As a senior at high school, but knowing exactly what she would like to accomplish for her life, Antonietta visited her local University of Mount Union to determine if the school was suitable for her requirements. The result was that she was a fan of the campus as well as the fact that it offered the major she wanted. When she completed her high school education she was accepted into the University to pursue media studies. Mark Bergmann, her professor who was also the manager of the WRMU's 91.1FM station, where she was employed for many years, became her friend. Professor Bergmann encouraged her to be confident and was deeply touched by his passion for journalism.
