Kristin Fisher joined CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent team on July 20, 2021. She is a reporter covering everything starting with NASA as well as the Space Force and commercial space businesses to the rise of Space Tourism. Kristin was born into the sector of space, as the daughter and granddaughter of NASA astronauts. Over the last five years she's been covering space policy under the Biden and Trump administrations in FOX News. In that period she also covered two impeachment trials for the president, the 2020 presdiential campaign, and two administration's efforts to contain the spread of coronavirus. Her extensive travels with the president and vice-president also included an exclusive trip to Afghanistan and Afghanistan, which she travelled on with Donald Trump. Kristin was a local television reporter for Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, Washington, D.C., in which she was awarded an Emmy Award for her work as a "one-man-band" reporter, before being hired by CBS in 2015. Kristin's camera skills helped her establish Field Mouse Films which specialized creating documentary-style films for corporate clients including Uber Hotels and Resorts as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin has an Bachelor of Science in Journalism that she received from Boston University. She lives with her husband at Washington, D.C., and is the mother of a 3-year-old daughter.
